Dental Implants in Aberdeen, NJ

Dental implants are one of the most reliable and long-lasting ways to replace missing teeth. They look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth. Each implant has two parts: a small titanium post that replaces your missing tooth root, and a custom-made crown that looks like a natural tooth. Together, they restore your smile and make chewing and speaking easy again.

Dr. Homsi creates a personalized treatment plan just for you, using advanced tools like 3D scans, digital X-rays, and models to carefully design every detail of your new smile. If your treatment needs help from a specialist, Dr. Homsi will bring in the right experts, but he’ll always lead the way and make sure everything comes together smoothly.

Dental Implant Process

Consultation and Evaluation: Your first visit includes a full exam, digital X-rays, and 3D imaging. Dr. Homsi will check your oral health, bone structure, and talk with you about your goals to see if implants are the right fit for you.

Custom Treatment Plan: No two smiles are the same. Based on your exam, Dr. Homsi will create a personalized plan just for you. This includes how many implants you’ll need and what type of restoration (like a crown, bridge, or denture) is best.

Implant Placement: The titanium implant is placed into your jawbone where the missing tooth root used to be. We make sure you’re fully comfortable during this step, using local anesthesia and sedation if needed.

Next Steps

Healing and Integration: Over the next few months, your implant naturally fuses with your jawbone in a process called osseointegration. This is what makes the implant strong and stable, just like a real tooth root.

Abutment and Crown Placement: Once healed, a small connector (called an abutment) is placed on the implant. Then, your custom-made crown is securely attached. The crown is matched to your natural teeth for a seamless look.

Follow-Up and Maintenance: You’ll come in for a final check to make sure everything feels great. With proper care, your implant can last a lifetime. We’ll show you how to keep it clean and healthy at home.

FAQ

  • How do dental implants differ from dentures or bridges?

Implants are permanently anchored in your jaw, offering more stability and preserving bone, unlike removable dentures or bridge-supported crowns.

  • Who qualifies as a good candidate for dental implants?

You may be a good candidate if you have healthy gums and adequate bone. Some health conditions can limit your eligibility. Talk to your dentist to learn more.

  • How do implants help maintain jawbone health?

Implants stimulate the jawbone, preventing bone loss and maintaining facial structure over time.
